Enjoying the Arctic life

It's been over a month now since Jeanette, Emma and I moved up to Vadsø. Though I would be lying if I said the transition has been an easy one, it's been easier than I thought it may be... Although we are of course yet to experience our first arctic winter, so I guess I should not be getting to cocky. Jeanette seems to be enjoying her job and I am really loving the chance to be a stay at home dad to our little Emma. I am not sure how long we will be able to pull it off but for the time being I really do love spending my days caring for the little munchkin. It also helps that Finnmark is so lovely. As you can see from the photos the landscapes here are quite gorgeous and that is of course to say nothing of the northern lights. I hope you enjoy the pics and stay posted for more!

I have a question Carlos...What hours do you have daylight and what do you expect for winter daylight? I love the photos...thanks Rainie

Hi Lorraine, it is my understanding that we get about 4 months of darkness and another 4 of constant daylight. The remaining 4 months are somewhere in the middle but from what I can tell already the sunset/sunrise times change quite radically even from week to week =)
