Brrrrr!

Temperatures this week really started to drop in to the minus double digits (Centigrade of course, to my American readers). I am no stranger to the cold but every time it comes around it catches me by surprise... like I had forgotten how much I disliked it. Anyway other than that there is not much new really going on. I continue to spend my days haggling out with little Emma and trying to keep the cabin fever at bay! But as everyone keeps telling me, the best thing is just to spend as much time outside as I can and take in as much sunlight as possible while there still is any left. Besides that way I have the opportunity to snap more photographs =) That's all for now!

Autumns last gasp

The fall up here in Vadsø is quite lovely, to bad it only lasts a couple weeks. Temperatures in the arctic are starting to plummet but I guess the news is not all bad since the layer of snow on the groundsels stretch out the dwindling daylight hours. Over all things have been going fairly well but quite slow. Emma and I are enjoying our days together though they are quiteuneventful. I have also been working on a new project but am not quite ready yet to come out and say what it is, but it sure has been a learning experience. Anyway, enjoy the photos and keep warm!

It gets cold in the Arctic? you don't say!

Well given that it is now October, I should hardly be surprised that it is starting to get cold. The cold itself has actually not been that bad, its those darn arctic winds. We have had some snow but the rain has been pretty good at washing it away. I just hope the winter is relatively mild (I hear last year was quite a challenge). Anyway things up here in the Arctic have been very uneventful, I am mostly spending my days at home with the baby and trying to get out as much as I can when the weather allows. I hope we are able to do a little trip at some point during the winter but the cost of just getting down to southern Norway is insane... really much worse than I thought it would be. There was a King Crab festival in town this weekend. Its a fairly small place so I was not expecting to much... and yeah, there as not all that many people out. At least Jeanette bought me a nice bowl of Crab stir fry which was delicious. Anyway that's all for now.
