Yet even more wildlife!

With the ever warmer and warmer weather more and more little (and not so little) critters are making their way out in to the trails, parks and forests of southern Ontario. And of course now with my new Tamaron 400mm lens I have been having even more fun than ever! I am really thinking about upgrading my camera body to a 7d since I have really been feeling the limitations of my current body ... but oh well, we will see. Anyway here are some of my favorite shots from this week, hope you enjoy them!

I have been getting out and having quite a bit of fun chasing birds around with my new 400mm along the paths here in Kitchener. I really want to make my way more in to the wilderness to shoot some more exotic species... but for now the suburban birds will just have to do!

Southern Onatrio Countryside

After getting our fill of beagles and coffee Zane and I decided to get out in to the countryside and take some photos. The area (Kitchener-Waterloo) is quite nice and with the arrival of spring so have many nice photographic opportunities! Hope you enjoy the photos!

This turtle unique to southern Ontario is apparently quite rare and has only started to make a comeback (Midland Painted Turtle, please feel free to correct me on this)

These little guys were all over place, saw at least 20 or so of them (Western Painted Turtle)

Neat water wheel in New Hamburg... its to bad it was not operational

That's all for now!

Oh Canada!

Well I have now been in Canada for a couple of weeks and things are coming along quite well. I have been out shooting quite a bit, although I have not really been posting all that much. I am currently in Kitchener Ontario, although I have also had the chance to hang out a bit in Montreal and Toronto. There is much beauty here, although it is very different to what I am used to in the Yucatan... but oh well, its all an adventure! hope you enjoy this first batch of photos.
