Rejoice, its Firday!

Yay, its Friday. For some reason this week went by quite fast... as opposed to just about every other week in the history of time. Anyway today I am gonna meet with a few people to try to get this philosophy group of mine off the ground... it would be really neat if this worked out, god knows I need the intelectual stimulation. Anyway I guess I cant complain, things have been going quite well... except that those bastards from the housing thing have not called yet, but then again... this is latin america, everything is "Mañana"... arghhhh. Anyway hopefuly this suff will all be taken care of before to long... and then the weels will be in motion. I am getting quite excited, Jeanette will be here in like two weeks, so that is just great... I am sure we are gonna have a great time. Anyway this is basicaly how I expect tonights meeting to go.

Oh, I love those dinosaurs....

Dream Theater is the greatest band ever...

Yea ok so that is quite a statement... but they are... at least of this generation anyway. The amount of stuff they have done just boggles my mind... and not just with DT, but will all the sideprojects such as liquid tension experiment, transatlantic, OST etc etc etc. I can´t think of any other band that even comes close to producing the incredible amount of music these guys do. Every time they release a new album I think this is the end of the line... it does not live up to my expectations, but thats cause DT is not a band for morons... that is, you have to get in to the album... at first it confuses you and phases you simply because you cant really wrap your head arround it. Ok, so its not always easy listening... but anyone who has ever really listened to DT would have to agree at the very least that it is one of the greatest bands of our times. They are to these last couple decades what Pink Floyd and the Beatles were in their day. So anyways I think I am done with this rant... I have no idea were this came from, anyway kuddos DT, kuddos.

Why am I not hung over?

Last night was maggies birthday partty... I got so messed up, make a long story short I got home like at 4am and was up and showered by 7 and at work at 8... but for some reason I feel just fine... no hang over, not particularly tirred... just fine... I am kinda afraid my system is just gonna crash on me without notice any time now... but we will see. Yea yea I know you probably partty hard every day and feel fine the next day... bla bla bla thats what everyone says, but not me... its just weird. Working saturdays is just the worst... but oh well at least its only every other saturday and besides I better behave since I am gonna be taking some time off when Jeanette comes on the 17th of febuary! YAY. If things work out the way they should I will go sign the morgage to the house sometime next week... basicaly I am just waiting for the call. There is not that much going on at work at the moment, actualy I am quite far ahead of schedule... for a change. Anyway I really cant complain, things are going quite well... I am really happy in my apartment and I have just about everything i need in there already so yay! I wish I had something more interesting to post about... but I dont so... Alas... uhhh.... ciao.

PS. Have you heard? Capitan Sulu (George Takei) is Gay? what the hell is up with that?... ok I guess that kinda makes sense

Ewww its monday again...

Oh well, the weekend was pretty good ....at least. I dont know why but lately days at work have been going by extra slow... and its not like I am not busy and stuff... there is tons going on, arghhhh. Anyway in the next few days they should be calling fron the INFONAVIT and I will suposedly go over and sign my morgage... I am quite looking forward to it, it seems to be quite a good deal. The way I figure the house will be built in about a year and it will probably take me about another year to get it the way I want before I move in... IE. POOL! Anyway thats the big thing going on now a days in my life... and its no small thing. A few minutes ago I felt about going on a rant about Hugo Chavez (the president of Venezuela)... but I have lots my drive... and although I realize you probably wont get it... uh... meh! I dont care its not like anyone ever posts here anyway.

Long time no post...

Ok so its been quite a while since my last post... but here goes. I have been back in mexico for what i guess is getting close to a month in a half... or more... or I dont know. For the most part things have been going quite well. I have settled in to my own place, its a pretty nice big apartment... its close to work, close to my folks place and all that jazz... so I am quite happy. Xmas and New years were rather unventful this year... except that I got my stuff stolen from my hotel room in cancun... so that really sucked but oh well... its just stuff. All and All I am really quite happy to be back in merida and living at home... I like my job and things are going quite well all arround. I am quite excited because Jeanette is going to come visit in Febuary... to that will be really cool. I am not sure what exactly is the situation there or what is going to happen, but I am hopefull... things have a way of working out I gess. The only downside of all this is that despite all my predictions I really do miss living in NB... I ofcourse do not miss the cold, not one little bit... but I really miss UNB and silly things like the farmers market and ofcourse my friends. On the plus side I will be in NB for bussines in April so I will have a chance to visit. Well I guess that gets us up to date... stay tuned for further Carlos Adventures.
